Who controls your data
Cortex Growth Ltd (company number 17267248), registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom, is the data controller. Contact jamie@cortexgrowth.co for anything in this policy, including a request to see, correct or delete your data.
What we collect, and why
- Passenger name, route and travel dates — because a reservation cannot be made without them. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Your email address — to send you the reservation and to answer support messages. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Payment confirmation — we are told that a payment succeeded and its reference. We never see or store your card details; those go directly to our payment provider.
- Basic technical data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) — to keep the site working and secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a functioning, secure service.
Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary to deliver what you bought:
- the airline and the booking system that holds your reservation — they must have the passenger name and itinerary;
- our payment provider, which processes your payment;
- our email provider, which delivers your reservation.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Where your data goes
Airline reservation systems operate internationally, so delivering your booking necessarily involves transfers outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years, which is the period UK tax and accounting rules require. Support emails are kept for two years. Technical logs are kept for 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
